The Holocaust: Propaganda, Experiences, Memory

Tutor:

TBC

Year:

2018-2019

Description:

The destruction of European Jewry stands as the twentieth century’s defining crime. This course will focus on its origins, its implementation and the response of the Jewish communities and the wider world. With plans for a prominent Holocaust memorial in central London well advanced, memory of the genocide and contemporary debate about its centrality are constantly evolving. The course is offered in partnership with the Wiener Library, the world's oldest Holocaust memorial institution, and draws on the library's rich and unique collection of primary material.
