Our Partners

Pears Foundation established the Pears Institute in 2010 in partnership with Birkbeck, University of London. The Foundation is a British family Foundation rooted in Jewish values; much of its work is concerned with identity, community and citizenship. Its establishment and support of the Pears Institute reflects the Foundation’s commitment to research and evaluation. Pears Foundation has a strong track record of partnerships with Higher Education Institutions in the UK and abroad. This includes: support for autism education research; establishment of the Holocaust Education Development Programme at the Institute of Education; the creation of a European Israel Studies Association and a scholarship programme for students from the developing world to study health and agriculture at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The Foundation has also established the Pears Business Schools Partnership with three of the UK’s leading business schools to encourage deeper thinking about the role of business in society. Research

We are an internationally recognised centre for research. We set antisemitism within a wider context of Jewish-non-Jewish relations and as part of the broader phenomenon of religious and racial intolerance.
